Jan. 1 — New Year’s Day — All banks closed
- Note: For national holidays with bank closures, allow at least one extra business day for direct deposit.
Jan. 1 — Payroll Deductions Online Calculator (PDOC) updated
Jan. 11 — Threshold 1 Remitter Payments Due (For payrolls processed on or after the 16th day of the previous month.)
Jan. 15 — Payment Deadline:
- Regular Remitter Payments Due
- Quarterly Remitter Payments Due
Jan. 25 — Threshold 1 Remitter Payments Due (For payrolls processed on or before the 15th day of the month.)
February
Feb. 2 — Groundhog Day
Feb. 10 — Threshold 1 Remitter Payments Due (For payrolls processed on or after the 16th day of the previous month.)
Feb. 14 — Valentine’s Day
Feb. 15 — Payment Deadline:
- Regular Remitter Payments Due
Feb. 15 — Family Day AB, BC, NB, ON, SK | Heritage Day NS | Islander Day PE | Louis Riel Day MB — Some banks closed in provinces that honour this holiday.​
- Note: As these are are not national or federal holidays, the regular remittance payments are due on February 15.
Feb. 25 — Payment Deadline:
- Threshold 1 Remitter Payments Due (For payrolls processed on or before the 15th day of the month.)

- Note: Boxing Day is a federal holiday and is listed in the Canadian Labour Code as a holiday. However, it is not uniformly observed in all provinces and territories. It is not an official holiday in Québec, nor is it a statutory holiday in Alberta and British Columbia.
